Southwestern Nova Scotia is home to beautiful sandy beaches and rugged

the Tobeatic Wilderness that adjoins Kejimikujik National Park inland. The area
has a rich history of French and New England settlers, starting with Champlainís
landing at Cape Forchu in 1605. Historic Shelburne, Nova Scotia offers a
charming 18th century historic district and the world's 3rd deep water harbour.

and Montreal, among others. There is a year-round ferry from St. John, NB to Digby, NS.
